I SWEAR TOGETHER WE'VE BEEN
here before but we never looked away
here before but we never looked away
HAIR COLOR: Di has naturally curly, thick, reddish-brown hair. Once she went into college, she added lighter brown highlights to make her hair a bit prettier, since she felt as though it was too boring.
HEIGHT AND WEIGHT: 5’3”, 123 pounds.
APPEARANCE: Di has always had pale skin, so she always wears makeup to make herself look a bit more colorful. With standing in front of students all day, she cannot look pale like she is going to be sick, so she has to make sure that she keeps her face with a bit of color, at the very least.
Diane is definitely a professional dresser--fitted jeans and pants, shirts that fit her top, dresses that fit her body relatively tightly. She will never wear anything that clings onto her body and shows her curves, but she doesn't like clothes that flow, either. She refuses to wear sneakers, despite how much more comfortable they may be than heels, and she always wears high heels.

TWO SEATS INSIDE AN EMPTY ROOM
with one more night what’s left to lose
with one more night what’s left to lose
DISLIKES: rude and ignorant people, cats, science, math,
HOPES: to finally get together with 'hottie english teacher' (marcus ellis), eventually get married, and eventually have a child--the sooner the better, since she certainly isn't getting any younger.
FEARS: pain, whether it be physical or emotional, anything that has to do with blood, and most bugs.
SECRETS: she's in love with marcus.
PERSONALITY: Diane has always been a true romantic. She loves sappy, lovey-dovey movies, and absolutely adores making people watch them with her. Ever since she was able to understand what her parents were saying, she constantly had them tell her their story over and over again, and loves all of the romantic things about the story.
Di is quite creative. As a young girl, she was always doing crafts of all different sorts--and, therefore, always making a mess around her parents house--and she loved to paint. She believes that this is why she is good at languages and art classes, and why she is bad at maths and sciences.
Diane is quite independent, which often comes off as stubbornness. She doesn't like it when people have to do things for her, or when they decide to do things for her. She doesn't admit to needing help very easily, only if something has completely defeated her, and her impatience has gotten to her in trying to figure it out.
Diane is very protective of those that she is close to. Her mother, her grandmother, her father, and her friends.
"Patience is a virtue" is something that Diane has always lived by. Although she isn't the most patient of people--especially at the beginning of a day--she forces herself to be patient. After all, she wouldn't have her job if she was impatient and rude to her students. Sure, she's had a few bad days over the few years that she has been teaching, but she always makes those days up.[/SIZE]

WE LAY WITH NOT A WORD TO SAY
alone we’ll wait ‘til something’s wrong
alone we’ll wait ‘til something’s wrong
FATHER: collin ray leroy, 60, retired.
HISTORY:Diane was born in the city of Boston, although she lived in the small town of Bedford. She often visited Boston with her family as a young girl, and she immediately knew that the city life wasn't for her--too many people ,too many crimes, and you had to stand your ground too much for her own liking. A small town was definitely where she wanted to be, and she would typically skip family trips to Boston.
Growing up, Di knew that she always wanted to be a teacher. First, as a young child, she wanted to be a ballet teacher--she loved to dance (and still does), and she was constantly busying herself with dance lessons. School started, and Di wasn't too happy that she could no longer spend all of her time dancing.
Over the years, Di, of course, got used to the school life, and she quickly found her love for the English language. She took Spanish in elementary school, and didn't like it too much, so in middle school, when she had the opportunity to either continue Spanish or take French, she decided to try herself at French. After all, she was French, so she might as well try it, right?
French was much better than Spanish, but Di could tell that it definitely wasn't her favorite language. After her Freshman year in high school, Di switched once more--and for the last time--to the Latin language. It was the origins of most languages, and Di knew that it would do her a lot of help on her SATs.
In about fifth grade, Diane had told her parents that she wanted to be an English teacher and a dance teacher. When she moved from Boston to Florida, though, and she was enrolled in a dance school that she didn't like too much, she decided against being a dance teacher.
Ever since sixth grade, Diane has had her mind set on being an English teacher. She certainly had her moments that she didn't want to be one, and where she was fed up with kids and being in school, but in the end, it was what she truly wanted to do.
College was difficult, and she had to stay in for six years instead of four to get her Master's Degree to teach, but Diane knew that there was really no where else for her to do; nothing else for her to do. Immediately after graduating, Di found herself in the small town of Reading Village, Texas, where her parents often vacationed.
She had enjoyed it there as a young child, especially since it wasn't a bustling city, and she would still see her parents every summer. So far, it has seemed like the right choice, and Di enjoys her job at the boarding school Hallow's Creek, teaching ninth grade English, and she hopes that she doesn't have to leave any time soon.
